Cry for Byzantium

I came across this gem of a blog and twitter feed the other day and decided to pass it along. The concept of the blog/twitter feed is to  microblog the history of the Byzantine Empire, 140 characters at a time. This is done four times a day in the voice of the Emporer, they began with accession of Constantine I (Constantine the Great) in 306, and hopefully will continue all the way through the final collapse of Constantinople in 1453.

This would make a great resource for those gaming in the period, especially anyone who is currently or about to run a medieval/Byzantium campaign either as an RPG or wargame.

The idea of the site and twitter feed is to present history in a fun and interesting way.

The blog is here; Cry for Byzantium

The twitter feed can be found here; CFB Twitter feed
